Paris in Black and White

I’m scanning in, meta-tagging, and organizing all my old photos right now. I had forgotten just how much I miss holding an old school SLR camera and shooting in black and white. Until I get a better digital camera, taking pictures just isn’t the same. I took this shot in a tucked away Parisian plaza summer of 2001.

[Philanthropy] Stay Human
I hesitantly decided to become involved in philanthropy because I believe that civil society has an important role to play in bringing about a more sustainable, just, and well governed 21st century society. Businesses and governments have their fundamental roles

Fiscal Transparency (is Not Enough)
OpenSpending.org has simple goal that is extraordinarily difficult to achieve: wherever you may live, you enter in how much you earn per month, press a button, and poof, a stunning visualization of where your tax money goes. Let’s say I’m

I’m due for a digital upgrade – my Dimage XT is getting old. I was thinking of going the SLR route with the d70 or the Rebel, but can’t convince myself that I would actually lug the thing around. I only bother bring my current camera around because it fits easily in my pocket. Probably going to end up buying a fuji f810. Fits in a pocket, but enough manual controls to keep me happy.
Great pic Oso. Lots of subtle meaning can be extrapolated from that pic which is why I like it so much.
Cool pic!
