San Diego Bloggers Meetup Tomorrow
|
Tomorrow is the San Diego Bloggers meetup at 1 p.m. at the Lamplighter bar in Mission Hills. It looks like there’s going to be a pretty good showing. If you blog and you’re in the San Diego area, please come by. Raman tells me he no longer reads this blog because nobody writes anything interesting anymore. So very soon I will write about the one thing that Raman finds interesting … himself. Until then, I’ve put up this lovely picture of him and the Annimator (who is leaving us to join Abogado in D.C.) Speaking of Abogado, if he does not post in the next three days he will be put on probation and his name will be changed to Avocado. If he still doesn’t post after that he will be suspended for a month which means he will go from not writing anything to not being allowed to write anything. I just took the absolute largest shit of my life. It was the size of one of those yellow plastic baseball bats you use to hit whiffle balls, but it was not yellow. It was brown and it floated and it smelled like fresh baked bread. It went down on the first flush and did not leave any streaks. Speaking of taking a shit, I haven’t read Woojay’s blog in quite a while. Oh yeah, he’s in his undisclosed Kingdom. Well good for him, I hope he takes a picture of the local toilets. I am sure that the weather in Woojay’s undisclosed kingdom doesn’t pale in comparison (what does that mean?) to San Diego this fine sunny day. This is unfucking believeable, I’m gonna go head down to the beach. Today is my little sister’s last day of school before winter break. She is happy because this means no more studying math and chemisty and spanish and english. I am happy because this means no more studying math and chemistry and spanish and english. They’re thinking about starting school later next year here in San Diego. We think this is a great idea. Revaz says he wasn’t liking how the sidebar looked with the blogger debate links on top (Bobby’s idea). So I changed it and put a picture of him on top. As the wise man says, that’ll learn him. Last night Hispanic Pundit and I went out for beers. He called me a limousine liberal. I rode home on my bicycle. Yesterday Sparsh and I went for a very perty bicycle ride through Rancho Santa Fe. This is Sparsh. He’s not a pleasant fellow to talk to so instead I listened to podcasts on my iPod. I learned that gravity is god. (The second law of thermodynamics, as it turns out, is also related to internet governance) Then the Gilmor Gang gave me some more to think about re: digital identity. Finally, local guy Steve Holden got me up to date on the geek publications, which is a good thing because frankly I am way to conscious of how postmodernly chic I look to be caught dead with “System Admin Journal” in my hands. I like Steve because we like the same kinds of beers. (last night when I ordered the microbrew pale ale and HP ordered a bud light, I became even more sensitive about the LL comment and so I ordered a bud light second round) In one of Steve’s podcasts, he talks about how he wants to go to BloggerCon IV. So do I. And I’m pushing for it to be somewhere not western, White, and elite. Brazil or Malaysia would be cool. Tonight is Mario and Jessica’s infamous mole potluck dinner at their new apartment. Here is a picture from the last Mario and Jessica’s infamous mole dinner. Jessica and I were the official Gringo representatives. Mario and mi chavita were las fresas de Mexico. The two girls whose names I don’t remember were representing Japan (pero no llevaron cacahuates japoneses) and the other guy was from … Spain maybe? This time it sounds like there are going to be more people from more countries. When I have more time, I’m gonna look through my web stats closer … I’ve got a working hypothesis that the more site visits we get, the less people comment. Like I said, to the beach. |

keep your thoughts to yourselves, biatches. david, can’t we have a conversation or do anything that doesn’t have to be made public, its pretty fucking annoying.
and speaking of boring — your sister not having to study math and chem just doesn’t really do it for me -however, i did find a distrubing liking to your shit comments.
i like hearing about his sisters math. i like seeing picutres of Raman it makes my heart go a-flutter. And, extraño un buen cacahuates japoneses con salsa vicente, in fact last time i was in mexico i brought back a suitcase full…emmmmm good.
Yeah, but you forgot to mention that it was a ten speed. Everybody knows that only rich people ride ten speeds.;)
In all seriousness, you’re one of the coolest liberals I know. We’ll have to do that again after I get back from Mexico.
I wish everyone here a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
PS: WTF is a microbrew pale ale?
You mean someplace (for “Blogger Con” – oh man…) so exotic, non-white (read: exotified), and down with the people (meaning really hard to get to) that only western, white, careerless rich kids can afford to go? That oughta broaden your perspective, baby bear.
Exactly, somewhere to work on my tan. That’s what I was talking about.
