First of all, let me emphasize that the super gringo accent is not mine. That belongs to none other than Mr. Steven Mansour. My yankee voice only makes the occasional brief cameo after the 5 minute mark.
Steve did a great job producing the video, which documents the successes of the Kangaroo Program (New York Times article) at San Ignacio Hospital in Bogotá, Colombia. The video was produced for the Mother-Child Health International Research Network, which aims to promote scientist-to-scientist communication and collaboration – especially throughout the developing world.
As a tangential note, Steve produced this entire video using open source editing software, no small feat.
You can see my photos from our visit to the clinic here.
You can’t help it Mr. Ubber Gringo 🙂
But I tell you, I’m not the uber-gringo in the video.
Are you just the regular gringo in the video? Average-gringo?
It’s a cool video. I’d never heard anything like this prior to your photos on flickr and then this post.
