In 2011 I co-curated the Ars Electronica Symposium with Chinese author Isaac Mao. I published an introductory text on the conference website. The conference sought to make sense of the social media-fueled revolutions and protests that were taking place throughout the world in 2010 – 2011. There are videos of all the talks on YouTube including my own introductory presentation. Speakers included Tunisian activists Lina Ben Mhenni, Turkish researcher Zeynep Tufekci and Chinese author Hu Yong.
